Samhain - The Final Harvest
Samhain is the last of the three Harvest festivals as well as the end of the Wiccan year. We Wiccans honor our ancestors at this time. It's a time of celebration for all, though usually it is too cold at this time to celebrate outdoors.

Samhain Recipes
Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 45 minutes
Serves: 8
Greet your guests with this richly textured savory soup. It seems indulgent but contains heart-healthy fats.
• 2 sweet potatoes (10-12 oz each)
• 1 onion (large) chopped
• 1 rib celery- chopped
• 1 T olive oil
• ½ c creamy peanut butter
• 4 c vegetable stock
• Chopped peanuts for garnish
Heat oven to 375. Pierce sweet potatoes with form. Bake until tender about 50 minutes. Peel when cool enough to handle.
Saute onion and celery in oil in large saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until translucent. 10 – 25 minutes.
Add peanut butter and sweet potatoes, stirring until combined well. Stir in stock until combined well. Simmer over low heat stirring occasionally, 45 minutes.
Remove from heat. Working in batches puree in blender (or use immersion blender). Strain through a sieve set over a pot. Season to taste with kosher salt and pepper. Divide soup among 8 bowls. Garnish with nuts if desired. Mak
